We provide lip balm for your lips, and use dark glasses to protect your eyes and cut down bright light. Though most people decline it, we have “laughing gas” available for some procedures. We always pre-numb with a deeply absorbing numbing gel before injections and our specialized computerized injection system makes numbing virtually painless. If you are very fearful we offer oral sedation/relaxation dentistry; by simply taking a little pill you can float or sleep comfortably through the visit. We work quietly and gently so as not to disturb you in most cases. Our success with numbing is over 99%; average dentistry with the usual techniques is about 75%.
If you do not want the numb feeling there are many procedures we can now do without shots, or we can use a technique where you will be numb for a shorter time than conventional injections. We always stop at any sign of discomfort, and you can stop us to use the restroom or get up and stretch, or reposition yourself as needed. Just make us aware.
