What We Want For You
We want to give you our time and personal attention, and will spend extra time with you at our office. It is best not to schedule another appointment right after ours as we take the time we need to provide exceptional service, treatment and information. Very few people desire the “drill, fill, and bill”, “move ‘em through”, “produce, produce”, “see-little-of-the-dentist” type of clinic dentistry where the dentist continually jumps from one patient to another. There is little time for friendliness or discussion. That is not our style.
We want you to be comfortable, not fearful, in our office, so we spend much effort on your comfort. We have a different mural on every treatment-room ceiling. Most of our chairs have massagers built into them, and all have soft pillows, blankets, and support cushions. We encourage you to use our relaxing soft-music headphones with a personal volume control, or our soft ear plugs, to reduce noises. Fall asleep if you choose to, as many patients do, even the most fearful ones. We offer, and are trained for, oral sedation for relaxation of the nerves, and can even make your visits “forgettable”. Our “shots” are virtually painless as they are controlled by a specialized computer system; even fearful patients often do not realize we have numbed their teeth. We have movies available with video glasses for long appointments. Paraffin hand wax is available for warming and soothing hands while we tend to your oral care.
We want you to trust us in every way, and we want to trust you. Every effort will be made to inform you of what options you have, and their risks and benefits. We want to trust you to ask us anything you think of so you will be informed to make the right decision for your treatment. And, we want to trust you to know we are working for your health and benefit, not ours; what we do for you is for the best health, comfort, and longevity outcome.
We want you not to have to wait long. Your time is valuable to you, and to us, and we apologize ahead of time if we keep you waiting at all. Though we usually run on-time, as we routinely book more time for each patient than we anticipate will be needed, we cannot always be prepared for anxiety, age or ailment related problems, difficulties with fearful children, a person that has many fears or questions, or an unexpected “true” emergency. We usually schedule time to accomplish a lot to reduce your number of visits, and will always strive to provide you with more time for us to do the treatment to the best of our ability. We will also always try to call you if we experience the unexpected to give you extra time to run errands or reschedule.
We want you to be happy with our style and our care of your health, the feel and look of your teeth, and hope you will invite your good friends and relatives to see us as well.
